Victory During Difficult Times

March 9, 2018 by Mary

The Lord upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Lord, thank you for making me victorious! You are my constant help in trouble, supplying my every need. Because I trust in you, I have victory in all areas of my life. I have good favor with others, good favor in my health, finances and family life. I do not doubt during times of trouble because you are my refuge and strength. Amen.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Victorious Living Day 16: Victory Over Poverty

October 17, 2017 by Mary

But there will be no poor among you; for the Lord will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess— if only you will strictly obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all this commandment that I command you today.

Deuteronomy 15:4-5

Lord, please grant me victory over poverty. Send ministering spirits on my behalf. Give me favor in my career and finances. I pray, Lord, that the work of my hands will yield a harvest, and you will give me victory over despair. You never meant for your people to live in poverty or lack , but in the richness of your glory. I thank you, Lord, that my cup runneth over, and I am satisfied. Amen.

He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,

Psalms 113:7

Praise: Praise you, Lord, that I lack nothing. I have all that I need. Praise you, that I have richness in your glory and that my cup runneth over. I give you praise for the victory I find in my life with you.

I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted,
and will execute justice for the needy.

Psalms 140:12

Have there been times in your life when you have been overcome with financial difficulty? What are some ways that God brought you comfort and victory over the trials of poverty? Describe:

Victorious Living Day 15: Victory in Illness

October 17, 2017 by Mary

If you live with a chronic illness, you know that this is an area where we need daily victory. Living in a body that is sick challenges us in ways that a healthy person could not understand. Waking each morning, not knowing what the day will bring or how we will be able to function, changes something inside of us. If we aren’t careful, we can allow that to define us, rather than living from victory to victory because we are the children of the most high God.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Revelation 3:21

Jesus faced great adversity during His time here on earth. He came in the flesh so that He could be one with us, understand our suffering and teach us that we can overcome, if we believe. He doesn’t promise to heal us but He promises to help us live victorious lives despite suffering and one day we will sit with him in His throne, where there will be no more suffering.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting ALL OF OUR CARES upon him, we move out of the rut of illness, to victory. For he hears us when we cry, he sees when we are torn to pieces because the things we had hoped for or dreamed seem so far away due to our physical limitations. Living victoriously in Christ demands a minute by minute surrender, especially when we are trying to fix things on our own. Our minds focus on what we can do to alleviate the suffering, how we can fix our bodies, what we did right, what we did wrong. But Christ says to cast all of our cares upon HIM. For He cares for us. He is the GREAT PHYSICIAN.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20-21

Dear Lord, we claim victory over illness! You are the Great Physician, able to heal and restore vitality to a weary body. We confess victory over our health today! For you are able to do exceedingly abundantly all that we could ever ask or think. We will hold tightly to the hem of your garment and BELIEVE that your word accomplishes what it says it will! We need not worry about this present darkness, as You have already begun to heal that which the enemy has tried to steal. Amen.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40: 29-31

If you are suffering with illness, great or small, God gives us power and strength to endure and not grow weary. Lean into him today and you shall run and not be weary; walk and not grow faint. For He cares for you. He can take your burdens and replace them with hope.

We are victorious in all things through Christ Jesus.
