Happy Monday! Here is the link to the article I wrote for Get Your Pretty On. The beautiful lady that you see in the photo is my fashionista sister, Jen. She has such beautiful, comfortable and natural style, as do all of my sisters–something we learned from our mother.
This is just a short snippet about how our souls flourish when we are consistent with the discipline of self-care. The way we dress says so much about the way we feel about ourselves and ALSO where we are spiritually.
When we are in a good place, we get up and we are about the Father’s business. We practice daily discipline, take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is our vehicle to say to the world, “Look what Christ has done for me!”
So ladies, regardless of your season, regardless of your condition, regardless of your financial status, get up, get dressed, put your pretty on—inside and out—and be fully present. This day was meant for you to shine your light!
If you are sad, sorry, weak, sick, depressed or broke–clothe yourself with the garment of praise and present your best self to yourself and to the world. It will elevate your spirit and spark joy. When we are joyful, our countenance is joyful and joy is contagious. People are drawn to joy.
Have a beautiful day today. xoxo

Oh Yes, I remember your sister, Jen. Such a lovely lady. Mary, I think this is so true. Sometimes we are going through difficult times in life, but it helps when we spend some time on ourselves. Thanks for this reminder. People are drawn to joy…………I love that.
Have a relaxing weekend, dear Mary.
love, ~Sheri
